Armed Forces Day

Richmond — 29 June 2024

Armed Forces Family History Day

When
10:00 am to 3:30 pm
Location
Trinity Church Square
North Yorkshire
DL10 4QN
United Kingdom

Our Armed Forces Family History Day offers visitors the opportunity to explore their family’s military history with our expert museum researcher. Using regimental, national and international archives, visitors can work with our researcher to piece together their link to a soldier, a regiment or to an historic event. For all regiments – not just Green Howards – this is a great chance for visitors to be a part of their very own ‘Who do you think you are?’

On Armed Forces Day, the museum is offering free entry to the ‘Armed Forces Family’. The session is free of charge to all visitors.

There’s also 300 years of Green Howards history and heritage to see in the museum’s fascinating exhibitions, eclectic artefacts, and hands-on child-friendly discovery activities.

The museum is arranged over three fully-accessible floors of a former church in the heart of Richmond’s Market Place. There’s Blue Badge parking just outside, 2 hours free disk parking in Market Place (and plenty of other car parks within reach), and regular bus links to Catterick, Darlington and Northallerton, so we can offer both locals and the wider community the opportunity to discover their regimental connections.
