On Saturday, 22nd June 2024, the museum invites Armed Forces personnel, their families, cadets and veterans to a celebratory garden party. Activities will run throughout the day for all ages, including making Horsa Gliders. There will be a performance from The Waterloo Band and Bugles of the Rifles. The event includes free admission to visit the museum’s brand-new exhibition, the Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum’s 10-year anniversary showcase. This exhibition celebrates all those who have contributed to setting up the first military museum in the county. Free admission is available to see the 10-year showcase from Saturday, 22nd June to Saturday, 29th June.

The museum is located in Woodstock. Buses from Oxford provide quick transport and Oxford Parkway station can also be accessed by bus. There is no parking available at the museum, but there is a long-stay car park 10 minutes walk away on Hensington Road. Short-stay parking can be found on Park Street. The museum is fully accessible, with ramps through the garden, a lift, and an accessible toilet.
