Hartlepool Armed Forces Day is going to be centered around the Heugh Battery and Town Moor area of Hartlepool .The Heugh Gun Battery has been a military position since the 17th century. It was restored by volunteers in the early 2000’s and the Heugh Battery Museum now proudly preserves the only First World War battlefield in Britain. Entry will be free on the day. There will be a short parade to start the day with stalls on the Town Moor from various ex serviceman Associations, Reserve Units of 8 Rifles.71 Royal Engineers and 150 Transport Regiment of the Royal Logistic Corps.
Its planned to have some form of Military Vehicle exhibition along side a Cadet Gun Run Competition and music provided from either a Cadet Band or Local Brass Band
