This will be the only major Armed Forces Day in London. It will revive the event in Woolwich on its historic location after 6 years. The units at Woolwich ( the Kings Troop, the Royal Artillery and 1 PWRR are backing the event) and are providing Barrack Field as its venue. The Council for the Royal Borough of Greenwich is supportive and has assigned a Senior Officer to assist with the planning and organisation. The events are being organised by 2 teams, one of which is concentrating solely on the military side ( Ride Past by the Kings Troop, Parachute Drop, military hardware and recruiting stalls.) The non-military team is concentrating on bands, a 5 a side football competition, theatre, displays and a big name final concert . The event is for all and we are planning for a footfall in the thousands
