General Conditions of Grant Offer:

  1. The grant must only be used for the purposes described in this application. It may not be used for any other purpose without the prior written consent of the Ministry of Defence. If the Event is cancelled or significantly altered from that described in your Funding Application Form, you are required to inform the Ministry of Defence Armed Forces Day Team. It may be necessary to return part or all of any grant provided at that time.

 

  1. The award and resultant claim of Grant Funding must abide by all the criteria laid out in the following sub-sections:

 

      • Grant Funding operates under a Match Funding principle wherein funding can only be provided to cover up to 50% of the total expenditure of the event.

 

      • Expenditures associated with transport, hospitality, entertainment or military assets are not eligible expenditure for Grant Funding.

 

      • Wherein invoices used for proof of eligible expenditure do not meet the total Grant Funding offered, we are only able to make payment up to the total of the eligible invoices, provided Match Funding conditions are being met.

 

      • We require that invoices for all expenditure including non-eligible expenditure are submitted during the Grant claim process in order to ascertain that Match Funding conditions are being met.

 

  1. No aspect of the activity being funded should be party political in intention, use or presentation.

 

  1. The Organiser detailed in the application, shall ensure that in carrying out the activities for which the grant is being given, that they, or anyone acting on their behalf, shall comply with the UK law in force at the time and in particular they shall not commit any act of discrimination rendered unlawful by the Sex Discrimination Act 1975, the Race Relation Act 1976, Race Relations Act, the Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2001, or the Disability Discrimination Act 1995.

 

  1. The Organiser detailed in the application, shall acknowledge in all publicity materials, reports etc the contribution of the Ministry of Defence to its costs, as well as displaying the relevant Ministry of Defence logo(s).

 

  1. The Organiser detailed in the application, shall make available for inspection by authorised officers of the Ministry of Defence and the National Audit Office, such accounts and other documents as they may reasonably require to see, relating to the application for this grant, the grant itself, and the conditions on which it is given.

 

  1. The Ministry of Defence has no commitment to renew financial support after the term of this grant.

 

  1. Personal Information provided as part of a Grant Application will be held in accordance with Data Protection legislation and only used to support the Armed Forces Day Grant application process.

 

  1. In order to help the Ministry of Defence to develop the Armed Forces Day campaign, improve the Grant administration process and for public audit purposes, the Organiser detailed in the application will be given the oppurtunity to complete a Feedback Form after the Event has taken place. This will be sent to the Organiser shortly following the Event.

 

  1. Links to third-party websites from this site, are provided solely as a convenience to the Organiser.  These links should be opened in a second page in order to prevent departure from this site. These sites have not been reviewed by the Ministry of Defence, which does not control, nor is responsible for any of these sites or their content. Thus, the Ministry of Defence does not endorse or make any representations about them, nor any information, software or other products or materials found there, or any results that may be obtained from using them. Any access to any of the third-party sites linked to this site, is done entirely at the risk of the individual concerned.
